Elm Tree Primary School pupils had the chance to let off steam and raise money for charity on the last day of term by taking part in a sponsored dodgeball competition. The whole school took part in the event, which was organised by year three teacher James Hunton and raised more than £1,200. The bulk of the money raised will go to the British Heart Foundation with 20% of the funds being used to buy new sports equipment for the school.
Teaching assistant Lisa Godbold, who is also the vice chair of the Friends of Elm Tree, said: “They have all been brilliant. Their sportsmanship has been fantastic.
“Everyone has taken part and it has been a lot of fun.
